We looked for something to do with our 3 yr old. Monkeys sounded like a good idea. Place is easy to find, nice people, our guide was Edwin and he did a great job talking to both Spanish & English visitors. We fed some goats and deer, learned about different species of monkeys and even got to sit inside an enclosure while a curious monkeys jumped from one visitor to other. Our baby Hannah has a fantastic time, and so did we.

We had an amazing experience with the family. Gina was our tour guide who went above and beyond. Interactive and wonderful explanations. Multiple different animals to interact with, not just monkeys. These people who work here truly care for the animals and want to keep them safe and were welcoming with a beautiful Mayan ceremony and ending with a small homemade snack and hibiscus tea. Way more than we ever expected.

This was one of the best off-resort activities we did. We went in the morning when it was quieter. Each enclosure we stopped at had a story to go with the rescued animal: many are abandoned from people thinking a monkey is a good pet, or others come from now closed zoos. It is great to see that there are efforts to reduce captivity of wild animals.

The tour was very well informed and the tour guide and people at the sanctuary were super friendly and caring for our needs. My grandmother had an electric scooter which they helped her in any way they could to help her through the paths. Gina our tour guide was excellent and very comforting to be around. I am very glad my family and i visited this sanctuary. I hope I can come again very soon ❤
